Since 1979 Life Lab has helped tens of thousands of educators across the nation bring learning to life in the garden.
Life Lab has worked in over 40 states and in a handful of other countries.
We have published and sold over 100,000 copies of award winning curriculum and activity guides.
Since 2001 The Garden Classroom site has brought thousands and thousands of smiles to students of all ages who've see learning (and farm fresh food!) come to life in a garden.

School Garden Sustainability Summit – Friday, September 10th and/or 11th
The summit will bring together up to 50 leaders of the California School Garden Movement to
document successful regional school garden support models and discuss future funding opportunities. Learn more

September 12th – Life Lab School Gardens Open House
Life Lab set its roots at Green Acres School in 1978. Since then, the Santa Cruz area has
developed some of the most impressive school garden programs in the nation. Our open house will be an opportunity to see these incredible sites. Learn more

Local Grocer's Community Days
From July 6 - September 27 the Santa Cruz Whole Foods Market on Soquel Ave. will donate 5 cents to Life Lab for every shopper that uses a reusable bag and states they want their 5 cents to Life Lab.
In February of 2010 the Santa Cruz and Capitola stores will be hosting a 5% community day for Life Lab, the UCSC Farm and the Seymour Discovery Center. Date TBA.
