Mapas de Sonido

Vamos a crear un mapa de los sonidos que escuchas a tu alrededor. Mayores de 5 años si trabaja con un adulto; 8+ si los niños trabajan de forma independiente; 5-10 minutos.

Esta actividad es una excelente manera de hacer que los niños entren en razón, reducir la velocidad y escuchar el mundo que los rodea. Todo lo que necesitan es un lápiz, papel y una superficie dura para escribir, como un portapapeles o un libro, por persona. Si es posible, busque un lugar alejado de ruidos fuertes, de modo que pueda escuchar una variedad de sonidos.

Muestre a los niños cómo puede dibujar un mapa de sonido con usted mismo en el medio (puede marcar su lugar con una X o dibujar una persona simple) y luego agregue tres o cuatro puntos de referencia detrás y frente a usted, mostrando cómo marcar esas ubicaciones en el mapa. Ya que han hecho esto, es hora de escuchar y marcar los sonidos que escuchas en tu mapa, colocándolos en la dirección general en que los escuchas. Muestre a los niños cómo puede hacer un dibujo simple de lo que cree que está produciendo el sonido, o escribir lo que cree que es, o escribir cómo suena (“keer, keer, keer” por ejemplo, para aproximarse al sonido de un animal) .

Una vez que haya hecho la demostración, pida a los niños que cada uno elija su propio lugar para sentarse, escuchar y crear sus propios mapas de sonido. Dígales que se registrará en 5 minutos (o el tiempo que crea que funcionará para sus hijos). Después de 5 minutos, pasa por aquí y averigua si necesitan más tiempo. Algunos niños pueden disfrutar completando muchos detalles en sus mapas, y otros pueden hacerlo tan pronto como escuchen el mismo sonido dos veces.

Una vez que esté reunido nuevamente, pregunte si alguien quisiera compartir su mapa de sonido y describir lo que escuchó. Está bien si no se pueden identificar algunos sonidos. ¿Alguien escuchó alguno de los mismos sonidos? ¿Tenías ideas similares o diferentes sobre lo que hacía ese sonido? ¿Cuál fue el sonido más fuerte que escuchaste? ¿El más silencioso? ¿En qué se diferencian los sonidos al principio y al final de nuestro tiempo de escucha?

Become a Life Lab Certified Gardener! 🌱🌻Based on the success of our first four cohorts of Life Lab-Certified Garden Educators, we are excited to announce that registration is now open for individuals to register and be part of our fifth cohort starting January 23rd, 2023! We’ve put together a series of 4 on-line courses that will guide and support educators in becoming a Life Lab-Certified School Garden Educator. Upon successful completion of the 4 courses, participants will receive a certificate and the distinction of being a Life Lab-Certified Garden Educator.
