Getting Here
There will be someone from Life Lab in the entrance to the Cowell Ranch Hay Barn from 9:00-9:30 am, ready to give you a parking permit upon arrival. UCSC is huge. To find our parking lot, navigate to the UCSC Cowell Ranch Hay Barn
Our workshop will start at the Cowell Ranch Hay Barn and throughout the day we will walk up to our Garden Classroom Site. Walking to our Garden Classroom involves a ten minute up-hill on dirt and wood chipped path. If you require assistance navigating this, please contact us at [email protected]

What to Bring
We recommend that you bring the following to the workshop:
• Comfortable clothes: Layers are often best for chilly mornings and warm afternoons.
• Comfortable shoes for the outdoors
• A hat, sunscreen and water bottle
• A notebook and a pen or pencil
• A mask
COVID Related Details (As of 8/31/22)
Per county and UCSC guidelines, masks are not required when outdoors or indoors. Of course, you may choose to wear one if you feel more comfortable. We will provide extra N95 masks if needed.
