Buzzing with Excitement: Spring Field Trips
at the Life Lab Garden Classroom!

Spring is in the air and school field trips are in bloom at the Life Lab Garden Classroom! 

In April, 2nd graders had a blast exploring the wonders of garden pollinators: birds, butterflies, and other essential garden helpers. Students discovered the intricate interdependence between plants and pollinators.

The children also enjoyed visiting the friendly Life Lab chickens, exploring the UCSC Farm, and whipping up some delicious smoothies.

One excited student announced, “I can’t wait to make this smoothie at home with my family!”

According to one teacher, it was their best field trip of the year!
