Life Lab Partners with The Santa Cruz Welcoming Network to Support Refugee Families

Life Lab is thrilled to announce a meaningful partnership with The Santa Cruz Welcoming Network! Through our campaign with Santa Cruz Gives, we are raising funds to provide summer camp scholarships for children in the Santa Cruz community and the Welcoming Network.

By making a donation to Life Lab, you’ll help send a child from an asylum-seeking or refugee family to our Wildlands to Watering Cans Summer Camp—a joyful, nature-based experience that inspires a love of nourishing food, outdoor exploration, and community building.

About The Santa Cruz Welcoming Network:

The Welcoming Network’s mission is to provide comfort and support for people who seek asylum and refuge. Our volunteers connect personally and accompany them as they navigate challenges such as: immigration court, shelter, health care, and work. We find resources that support their goals and healing from trauma. We are committed to the truth that every human being is worthy of a safe place to live and thrive. About Life Lab’s Summer Camp:

For over 20 years, Life Lab’s Wildlands to Watering Cans Summer Camp has been a cherished part of Santa Cruz County, offering children joyful outdoor experiences. Held on a university campus, the camp gives children the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging, build community, and exercise their bodies and minds—all while fostering a love for nature and nourishing food. Thanks to your donations, children from low-income families can access these transformative experiences.
